World premiere of "Resonare Fibris" at the Segovia Contemporary Music Conference


On Saturday, November 7 at 7 pm., Mario Prisuelos will premiere Resonare Fibris, a work for piano and multichannel electronics by Sergio Blardony with texts by Pilar Martín Gila. The work starts from a dialogue with the Spanish Renaissance music, just as the poetic texts do with Jorge Manrique. All this from the thematic unit of the funeral lament. The monographic concert will take place at La Cárcel_Segovia Creation Center, within the Segovia Contemporary Music Conference/CNDM.

World premiere "La desolación está al fondo"


On Friday, November 6, at 8:00 p.m., the Arcadia Duo -formed by guitarists Avelina Vidal and Pilar Rius- will premiere La desolación esta al fondo, a piece by Sergio Blardony suggested by a series of works by the German visual artist Anselm Kiefer. The world premiere will take place in the  International Compositors Meetings of Mallorca 2020, at the Fundació ACA, Búger, Mallorca.

"Después del incendio, toda la noche" at Encuentros Sonoros Festival


On Monday, November 2, at 7:30 p.m., a concert by Miguel Romero (saxophone) and Javier Campaña (electronic) will take place in the Sala Silvio of Espacio Turina in Seville, in which they will perform the work of Sergio Blardony Después del incendio, toda la noche..., written for tenor saxophone, electronics and video on a text by Pilar Martín Gila. In the concert, within the program of the 2020 Sound Encounters Festival, works by Jesús Torres, Arturo Fuentes, Naoki Sakata and Javier Campaña can also be heard.

"Lo grotesco" at EPOS Lab, Festival After Cage


On Wednesday, October 21, at 8 p.m., the chamber opera Lo grotesco (and now listen, inside) will be heard at the Gayarre Theater in Pamplona, for actor, soprano, mezzo-soprano, percussion and bass saxophone, written by Sergio Blardony with a libretto by Pilar Martín gila. The work is inscribed in its original context, the EPOS Lab.3, and takes place within the After Cage Festival, together with other chamber operas by José María Sánchez-Verdú and Carolina Cerezo Dávila, with texts by Nieves Muriel and Rosana Acquaroni , respectively. The artistic team is made up of Raúl Marcos (actor and staging), Margarita Rodríguez (soprano), Marta Knörr (mezzo), Andrés Gomis (saxophones) and Eloy Lurueña (percussion). In addition, the show is complemented by a premiere by Javier Torres Maldonado, for oboe and electronics, performed by Pilar Fontalba.

"Il silenzio svelato" at COMA'20 Festival


On Thursday, September 15, at 7:00 p.m., Il silenzio svelato will be heard in the auditorium of the Getafe Conservatory (Madrid), within the COMA'20 Festival. This work, written for baritone saxophone, piano, percussion and electronics, is suggested by texts by Pilar Martín Gila and San Agustín, and is the precedent to another work with the same theme: La bujía de Stromboli. The performerss will be the Sax-Ensemble, conducted by Santiago Serrate. At the concert, premieres by Jorge Castro and another by Juan Manuel Ruiz and works by Zulema de la Cruz and Claudio Prieto can also be heard.

"Despertar otra vez" at UNDAE Radio


UNDAE Radio, a program of Radio Círculo (Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid), opens its season September 28, at 10 p.m., with a selection of works from the Fortín artesonoro and Luscinia labels, both an initiative of Sarah Vacher. It will include a selection from Despertar otra vez, Sergio Blardony's electroacoustic music cycle on poems contained in La cerillera by Pilar Martín Gila. Along with other interesting authors such as Pedro Linde or Eduardo Polonio.
