World premiere of "Fragmentos de un tiempo deshabitado" at the 2011 ClarinetFest, Los Angeles, California

On Sunday August 7, Florian Popa (clarinet solo) and 10th & Broadway (clarinet quartet), premiered the work of Sergio Blardony Fragmentos de un tiempo deshabitado ("Fragments of an uninhabited time"), written for the ClarinetFest 2011 held in Los Angeles, California, from 3 to 7 of that month. The composition works on a superposition of layers that refer to temporal aspects, and uses the final scene of Michelangelo Antonioni's film L'Eclisse as spatial suggestion.

Vertixe Sonora performs "Il silenzio Svelato" in Via Stellae Festival 2011

On Monday July 18, 2011, Vertixe Sonora Ensemble will perform Il silenzio svelato, work by Sergio Blardony written for baritone saxophone, percussion, piano and electronics within the scheduled concerts in the Festival Via Stellae 2011. The concert, free admission, will take place at 20.30 h. in the Galician Center for Contemporary Art (CGAC) in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain). The program is completed with works Füsun Köksal, Diana Rotaru, Ramon Souto, Junghae Lee, Franck Bedrossian and Paul Arcent.

Pianist Jean-Pierrre Dupuy play the world premiere of "Memoria, espacio difuso del olvido" in the Barcelona Athenaeum

On 27th May at 8 p.m. in the Barcelona Athenaeum, world premiere of the piano work of Sergio Blardony Memoria, espacio difuso del olvido, in a concert organized by the Contemporary Music Foundation and Phonos. The piece was commissioned by the pianist and conductor Jean-Pierre Dupuy, who is also responsible for this first performance. At the concert, which is also the bass clarinetist Harry Spaarnay, there will also be works by Nino Díaz, Andrés Lewin Richter, Nuria Gimenez and Daniel Tosi.

Pre-premiere of "Luz de campanas" at 2011 FESTICONU, Huelva, Spain

On Thursday April 14 at 20 pm, in the hall of the Conservatory of Huelva, is hosting the pre-premiere, in a shorter version, of Luz de campanas, by Sergio Blardony trio written for violin, cello and piano. The event will be the II Festival of Contemporary Music in Huelva, FESTICONU 2011, and the performers will be Ana Isabel Gómez Suárez (violin), Laura Calabuig Benítez (cello) and María Fernández González (piano). The concert, which was also interpreted works of John Cage, Diana Perez, György Ligeti, Juan Guillen and François Rossé be preceded by a lecture by Juan Manuel Arrazola Belda.


The Contemporary Music Workshop CSMS play "El espacio transgredido"

The concert will take place March 22, 2011, in Salamanca (Spain), and the work will be performed by the Contemporary Music Workshop of CSMC, conducted by Javier Castro. El espacio transgredido: entre el rincón de luz y los límites de la sombra was composed by Sergio Blardony in 2008 for ensemble of 11 instruments and electronics, and premiered at the VIII International Festival of Spanish Music in St. Petersburg.


"Il silenzio svelato" will be played in two concerts in Aveiro (Portugal) and Valencia (Spain)

TDM_Trío De Magia will perform on November 8 at 9 p.m. the work Il silenzio svelato in the Fall Festival of Aveiro (Portugal), in a concert at the University of that city. Furthermore, the work will be performed also on Friday November 12 at 8 p.m., in the XVII International Festival of Electroacoustic Music "Punto de Encuentro 2010", at the Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). In this case the music performers are Espai Sonor Ensemble.
