Comment: From a poem by Pilar Martín Gila written in 2016, the musical work is conceived as a kind of study on pain, loss and emptiness, and especially, of how this absence alters, in different ways, space and its perception, familiar space and everyday life. Thus, the presence of the text arises from a fragmented and focused spatial conception. The percussion, articulated on different elements of character that are opposed or associated to modify the context, also works from a particular idea of the space, as much in the scenic as in the structural plane. In short, Una forma seeks to be a reflection on death and absence. The work is dedicated to Gustavo, a beloved cat.

Una forma was written at the request of the percussionist Eloy Lurueña to form part of a CD dedicated to metal percussion. Its debut took place in the Festival SOXXI in June of 2017.
